West Ham and West Brom come to Town

TONY Mowbray's newly-promoted West Brom and fellow Premiership outfit West Ham will provide the pre-season opposition at Portman Road. Mowbray and Mark Venus will bring the Championship's title winners back to East Anglia on July 26, while the Hammers will be in town on July 26.

Seagulls on Town's pre-season list

IPSWICH Town will unveil all their pre-season fixtures today with Brighton already confirming they will be among the opponents. The Blues will entertain two Premier League clubs and will play over in Northern Ireland, with the Irish press claiming Glentoran will host one of the games.

Webster in running for keeper coach

MALCOLM Webster has spoken with Ipswich Town about the vacant goalkeeping coach vacancy. Webster is currently at Southampton but with a boardroom reshuffle in progress this week his position is uncertain at St Mary's.

New sponsor deal for next week?

IPSWICH Town are closing in on a main sponsor with SnOasis still very much in the frame. The Blues could make an announcement about a new deal as early as next week, with chief executive Derek Bowden negotiating with three separate candidates.

U's could play at Portman Road

PORTMAN Road could play host to a Colchester United home game in August. Ipswich Town have been approached by the U's who are concerned that their new stadium at Cuckoo Farm will not be fully open in time for first couple of weeks of the new season and have asked if they would allow them to play at the Blues' home.
